Privilege (Renzo + Lucia #1) by Bethany-Kris

Resume: Born rich to a family of mafia royalty, Lucia Marcello was already destined to succeed. She wanted for absolutely nothing, until she met him.
Born poor to parents who never cared, Renzo Zulla was already destined to fail. He has struggled for absolutely everything, but she’ll prove to be his biggest fight yet.

She’s high society from the upscale suburbs.  He’s a drug dealer from New York’s slums.  They just weren’t meant to be … until they were.

I loved, loved, loved this book. Bethany always has the power to surprise the reader and deliver a good and fresh story with unique characters.
Like water and oil, that’s the best way to describe Lucia and Renzo. They are from different worlds, with different life experiences. Lucia, has a privileged life. Money, power, influence and love, she knows all of them and until Renzo, she never really saw the other side. Renzo, growing up with a mother he hates and an absent father, take care of his siblings and give them a better life is what he lives for… Until he meets Lucia.

I loved Lucia. She says what she feels and thinks, loves fiercely, she’s down to earth and fights for their love. She really is one of my favorite female characters written by Bethany. Renzo… I also loved Renzo. His past and story is just sad, his love for his siblings will warm your heart. I specially loved how he didn’t give up and went after Lucia. It made me respect and love him even more. Oil and water but both are there to fight for that relationship and the pressure of knowing people don’t want them together.

If you want a solid and well written story, loveable characters, mafia elements, hot scenes and sometimes you will let a tear fall but the main couple are two strong people fighting for their love, this book is for you.

I can’t wait for the next two books, this is really torture.
